Established in 2021 (2078 B.S.) and commencing commercial production in 2024 (2081 B.S.), Annapurna Fish Feed Industry has been driven by a clear mission — to transform aquaculture in Nepal through innovation, quality, and farmer-centric solutions.
From the outset, we recognized the growing demand for reliable fish feed in Nepal. To meet this, we invested in advanced production systems from Andritz, Austria, one of the world’s leading technologies in fish feed manufacturing. This has enabled us to ensure international standards of quality and consistency across our products.
Our feeds are now trusted by farmers across multiple provinces, particularly in Pangasius farming, where we have helped lower production costs, improve yields, and create sustainable income opportunities for smallholders. By strengthening the aquaculture value chain, we are not only empowering farmers but also contributing to national food security and rural livelihoods.
Looking ahead, Annapurna aims to expand its production capacity, introduce more specialized feed varieties, and play a pioneering role in making Nepal not only self-reliant in fish feed but also competitive in the regional market. We believe that sustainable aquaculture will remain a key driver of Nepal’s Blue Economy in the years to come.

At Annapurna Machha Dana Udhyog Limited, our purpose has always been clear: to provide world-class nutrition solutions for Nepal’s aquaculture sector through innovation, quality, and sustainability.
With the integration of European technology from ANDRITZ, we have established a modern production facility that ensures precision, consistency, and efficiency. This allows us to deliver feeds with exceptional Feed Conversion Ratios (FCR below 1.5), empowering farmers to achieve higher yields with lower input costs.
Our portfolio today serves a wide spectrum of aquaculture needs, from carps and pangas to rainbow trout, and includes extruded sinking feeds for Indian Major Carps (IMC). Each product is scientifically formulated to meet the nutritional requirements of fish while maintaining water quality and supporting sustainable farming practices.
We see our role not only as a feed producer but also as a partner in progress. By combining advanced technology with local knowledge, we are committed to strengthening Nepal’s fish farming community, improving farmer incomes, and contributing to national food security.

From the very beginning, we have recognized that sustainable fish farming depends not only on good management practices but also on access to reliable, high-performance feed.
With advanced Andritz technology from Austria, we are proud to manufacture both floating feeds and extruded sinking feeds tailored to the diverse needs of farmers. Floating feeds provide better feed management, reduced wastage, and improved water quality, making them ideal for species like Pangasius, Tilapia, and Carp. On the other hand, extruded sinking feeds are specifically developed for species such as Rainbow Trout, ensuring precise nutrition and efficient growth in cold-water environments.
By offering these specialized feeds, Annapurna is helping farmers improve feed conversion ratios (FCR), reduce production costs, and achieve higher yields. More importantly, these innovations support better farm efficiency, environmental sustainability, and ultimately higher profitability for small and large-scale farmers alike.
